Family-owned business started by Mr.Suwat Kongkhunthian in 1977 as a small seed shop in Ton Lam Yai market in Chiangmai, Thailand. Later, the seed shop expanded and established as Kantar Company Limited in 2001. Kantar is a distributor of agricultural seeds and chemicals such as Monsanto, Bayer, Syngenta, BASF, Namdhari, Kaneko, Known-You, and HM Clause etc. From base in Chiang Mai, the company services a large client base throughout northern Thailand, a major agricultural area. The seed-trading business is also conducted by importing seeds from America, Australia, China, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, and The Netherland for domestic distribution.

     Kantar also operates OP seeds production in Thailand and export the seeds to other countries in Southeast Asia.
